PARALLAX is a connected streaming ecosystem with three experiences: immediate browser streaming, RELAY Web torrent playback powered locally, and the upcoming native RELAY for Windows app. One account is designed to keep profiles, library choices and viewing history together.

RELAY Web is PARALLAX’s browser interface for discovering torrent releases and playing supported sources. Torrent networking and media preparation run on your Windows PC through PARALLAX Companion, while RELAY provides the catalogue, source information and player.

Companion is the small local Windows engine required for RELAY torrent playback. It checks releases, connects to peers and prepares supported media through a secured loopback connection, keeping torrent transfer off PARALLAX servers.

RELAY Web works best with browser-compatible MP4 or WebM releases using codecs supported by your browser and hardware. Availability varies by release, and RELAY shows compatibility information before playback whenever Companion can determine it.

Most browsers cannot play a raw MKV container, and HEVC support also varies. Choose a browser-compatible MP4 or WebM source, or follow RELAY for Windows, which targets MKV and broader native codec support.

RELAY Web uses a browser player plus Companion, so it remains subject to browser container and codec limits. RELAY for Windows is the planned native experience with an integrated torrent engine, MKV support, HDR10 workflows and Dolby Atmos passthrough targets.

Download Companion only from the official Companion page, run the Windows installer and follow the setup wizard. It starts after installation and remains available from the Windows system tray.

Confirm Companion is running in the system tray, then allow local-device or loopback access in your browser’s site permissions. Return to RELAY and retry; if pairing fails rather than timing out, restart Companion and refresh the browser session.

PARALLAX currently provides free access to its available browser experiences, subject to service availability and the published terms. The browser streaming tier may contain minimal advertising, while RELAY’s local playback model is designed without advertising.

No account is required to browse as a guest. A verified account is required for private profiles, synchronized library and history, and persistent settings across PARALLAX and RELAY.

It means RELAY has not yet established whether the local Companion endpoint can be reached. Start Companion, allow local access when the browser asks, and use the connection check again; a specific not-running or pairing-error message will then replace the unknown state.

Use the Sign In tab on RELAY with the same verified email and password used for PARALLAX. You can also enter from PARALLAX through a secure account handoff so the RELAY session opens with your existing identity.

Torrent transfer, peer connections and media preparation performed by Companion stay on your computer. PARALLAX stores account data needed for the service, but does not route or store Companion torrent traffic on PARALLAX servers.

There is no announced release date. The native app is in active development, and the Windows waitlist is the official way to receive launch news without inventing a deadline.

Record the title, selected release, format badge and the exact message RELAY displayed. Send those details through the Help contact channel so the source or compatibility issue can be investigated without including passwords or private account information.

PARALLAX browser streaming works on modern supported browsers. RELAY Web browsing is broadly available, but torrent playback currently requires Companion on Windows; the native RELAY application is also being developed for Windows.

You can browse RELAY on those devices, but Companion-powered torrent playback currently requires a Windows PC running Companion. Mobile and macOS browsers cannot replace that local Windows engine today.

RELAY supports compatible addon manifests configured by the service and presents their torrent sources through one normalized source view. Availability and legality depend on the addon and source provider, and users remain responsible for how they use third-party sources.
